<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a stepping motor used in a sewing machine. <P>SOLUTION: A stepping motor control device 1 for sewing machines includes a deviation generator 40, a driving signal generator 41, and a gain adjusting part 43. The deviation generator 40 calculates a deviation d between a current command value Ic to a stepping motor 30 and a driving current value Id flowing in the stepping motor 30 to generate a current value deviation D obtained by applying a predetermined gain G to the calculated deviation d. The driving signal generator 41 generates a driving signal Sd based on the current value deviation D. When power saving control is performed, in which a driving circuit is controlled so that currents flows by self-induction of the coils 34a and 34b is refluxed to the coils 34a and 34b, if there is a need to reduce an absolute value of the driving current value Id, the gain G is increased compared with the case that there is no need to reduce the absolute value of the driving current value Id. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
