<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly information display terminal that is light-weight despite a large display unit provided therein and does not make a user become tired even if he/she uses the terminal for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: An information display terminal 1 includes a display unit 2 having flexibility and a housing 3. The housing 3 is arranged on a part of the outer edge part of the display unit 2. The display unit 2 has a first substrate 53, a thin film circuit 80 using a thin film transistor is formed on the first substrate 53, and the housing 3 is arranged not to touch the first substrate 53. This improves the durability of the information display terminal 1. Since the display unit 2 is lighter and more flexible than the housing 3, a reinforcement member that protects the unit from external impact is not necessary, and the entire information display terminal 1 can be made thin and light. Further, the center of gravity of the information display terminal 1 is positioned in the vicinity of the housing 3, so that a user can use the terminal for a long time without getting tired even if the user holds the information display terminal 1 by one hand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
