AUTOMATIC CHARACTER MARKING DEVICE ON THE SIDE OF STEEL PLATE AND MARKING METHODS

PURPOSE: An automatic character marking apparatus on the side of a steel plate and a marking method thereof are provided to easily check information about a steel plate which is kept in lamination. CONSTITUTION: A gantry body(3) includes a carriage(4). The carriage moves to the right and left along a transverse rail. A marking tool(20) marks steel plate information on a moving steel plate(1). One or more steel plate position sensors(71,72,75) measures the location information of the steel plate. A marking apparatus moving tool(10) transfers a marking tool to the lateral part(1a) of the steel plate.
