MODIFIED MATERIAL, ELECTRODE CATALYST FOR FUEL CELL, MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY, AND FUEL CELL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new modified material having high oxygen reduction catalytic activity and suitable for an electrode catalyst for fuel cell.

SOLUTION: The modified material is obtained by modification treatment at ≥500°C of a material containing a porphyrin complex represented by general formula (1) (wherein Q1to Q4are each independently a group which forms a ring together with two carbon atoms of a bonded pyrrole ring; R1to R4are each independently hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group; and M is a metal atom or metal ion of group IV in the periodic table).
