The first fuel is at least one metal. The second fuel is at least one metal. The second particles entirely comprise second fuel. The first fuel and the oxidant react with each other after ignition in an exothermic reaction with release of infrared radiation. The second particles are ignited by the reaction and released from the mock target active mass. Pyrotechnic active mass mock target comprises a first particle comprising a first fuel, a second particle comprising the first or a second fuel, an oxidant for the first fuel and a binder. The first fuel is at least one metal. The second fuel is at least one metal. The second particles entirely comprise second fuel. The first fuel and the oxidant react with each other after ignition in an exothermic reaction with release of infrared radiation. The second particles are ignited by the reaction and released from the mock target active mass. The first particles are smaller than the second particles or are obtain in a way so that after an ignition the mock target active mass burn in air faster than the second particles. The second particles are designed so that they burn for at least 10 ms in the air.</p>
