The method involves carrying out drilling through a wall and/or through a base plate from an inner side of a building part to be insulated. An insulation mass is injected into external ground using an injection lance through the wall and/or the base plate. A control drilling is carried out in surrounding of an injection borehole. Spatial-lateral penetration and hardening of the ground with the insulation mass is detected as a function of conductivity change by a conductivity measuring rod, which is equipped with a conductivity detector. An independent claim is also included for a conductivity measuring rod comprising a tubular fixed or hollow body.
