PURPOSE: A generator core is provided to restrict the reduction of magnetic flux from a permanent magnet installed on the side of a rotor by including an aperture, which passes through a magnetic path of an electronic steel sheet in whole or part. CONSTITUTION: A generator core(1) is assembled out of 18 split cores arranged in an annular direction. The split cores have a yoke forming part(7) constituting a yoke(5) and a magnetic pole part(9) connected to the yoke forming part. The magnetic pole part has a pole post(11) and a magnetic surface forming part(13) opposed to a rotor having a permanent magnet. The width of the magnetic surface forming part is smaller than that of the yoke forming part and larger than that of the pole post.
