Post Processing Method for Machining of Roller Gear Cam with Rotational Followers using 5-Axis CNC Machine

摘要

PURPOSE: A post-processing method for machining a roller gear cam by using a 5-axis CNC(Computer Numerical Control) machine is provided to preciously and accurately cut a workpiece because mechanical characteristics of a roller gear cam and structure characteristics of a CNC machining machine are reflected. CONSTITUTION: A post-processing method for machining a roller gear cam by using a 5-axis CNC machine is as follows. A rotational angle of a follower is defined based on a cam curve of a roller gear cam. A tool path for a rough cutting is defined. A tool path for a finish cutting is defined.
