A multi-component filter (4) for a smoking article comprises: a mouthpiece section (12) and an aroma-releasing section (14), arranged higher along smoke passage as regards to the mouthpiece section (12). The aroma-releasing section (14) comprises plant leaves and a filter plasticiser. The multi-component filter (4) according to the preferably variant additionally comprises a near-rod end section (32), which comprises filtering material and is arranged above the smoke passage as regards to the aroma-releasing section (14). According to the preferably variant, the mouthpiece section (12) and the near-rod end section (32) or one of them comprise at least one liquid aromatizer. The near-rod end section (32) can comprise a sorbent.
