<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated when an operation member movably arranged with respect to a device body is operated. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device comprises: an operation member which is movably arranged with respect to a device body; a first magnet which moves as the operation member moves; magnetic field detection means which is arranged in the vicinity of a moving locus of the first magnet, and which detects magnetic fields in a plurality of directions; and a second magnet which is arranged on the moving locus of the first magnet or an extended line of the moving locus. The first magnet and the second magnet are arranged such that their opposing ends have the same polarity.
