Provided is a structure for the front portion of a vehicle body, the structure being configured in such a manner that, when a load is applied to a headlight assembly, the structure can reliably absorb the load. A structure for the front portion of a vehicle body comprises: a pair of headlight assemblies (2) provided with headlights (3) and also with headlight cases (4) attached to the rear portions of the headlights (3). An inner mounting section (5), an outer upper mounting section (6), and an outer lower mounting section (7) which are used to mount each of the headlight assemblies (2) to the vehicle body are provided to each of the headlight cases (4) and are respectively located in the lower portion of the headlight case (4) on the center side thereof in the width direction of the vehicle, the upper portion of the headlight case (4) on the outer side thereof in the width direction of the vehicle, and the lower portion of the headlight case (4) on the outer side thereof in the width direction of the vehicle. In a front view, each of the inner mounting sections (5) is disposed in the lower portion of the headlight assembly (2) at a position which is on the center side of the headlight assembly (2) in the width direction of the vehicle and which is farthest from the center (G) of gravity of the headlight assembly (2), and the inner mounting section (5) is mounted to the vehicle body (1) through a support brace (8) disposed along the vertical direction of the vehicle. Among the portions of each of the support braces (8), the portion (8c) to which the inner mounting section (5) is mounted is located closest to the headlight assembly (2), and a portion (8a) located above the portion (8c), to which the inner mounting section (5) is mounted, is formed so as to be bent toward the center of the vehicle body (1) in the width direction of the vehicle.
