<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve separation efficiency of fine oil mist while suppressing lowering of fuel economy. <P>SOLUTION: An oil mist separator 38 which incorporates an impeller to be rotated by lubricating oil as working fluid and separates oil mist contained in blow-by gas by centrifugal force is driven by lubricating oil discharged from a valve for pressure-regulating the lubricating oil in a lubricating oil supply system at prescribed pressure to an oil pan 16. Hereat, a relief valve 46 juxtaposed with an oil pump 42 to be driven by an engine 10 and a regulator valve 48 for pressure-regulating pressure of the lubricating oil supplied to each part of the engine 10 are applied as valves for pressure-regulating the lubricating oil to the prescribed pressure. By driving the oil mist separator 38 by utilizing surplus lubricating oil which is not supplied to a lubricating object, the separation efficiency of the fine oil mist can be improved while suppressing lowering of fuel economy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
