<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation loads. <P>SOLUTION: A display device comprises first display control means, second display control means, first reception means, storage means, second reception means, third reception means and third display control means. The first display control means displays an images of a broadcast program on a display screen. The second display control means displays password information on the display screen after receiving an operation. The first reception means receives password information and identification information identifying an external device from the external device after the password information is displayed. The storage means stores the identification information. The second reception means receives a connection request from an external device when an image of a broadcast program is being displayed. The third reception means receives screen information from an external device when the connection request is transmitted from an identified external device.
