<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system for an apartment house at low cost in which a dwelling unit intercom of each dwelling unit can call up and display energy information about power consumption of the dwelling unit. <P>SOLUTION: A measurement device 3 measuring power consumption of a dwelling unit is disposed in the dwelling unit. A residential building is equipped with a system controller 14 which has a gateway function to connect a dwelling unit intercom 11 through an intercom line 15 to a content server 20 on an external network. A residential building LAN 18 different from the intercom line 15 is laid and the measurement device 3 is connected to the residential building LAN 18.
