<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle periphery display device which enables both a person with normal color vision and a person with weak color vision to surely recognize the sense of distance from a vehicle without changing display. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle periphery display device displays an image around the vehicle photographed by a camera and distance reference lines 22, 23 indicating a position separated by a prescribed distance from the vehicle by superposing the image and distance reference lines on an indicator provided in the vehicle. The distance reference lines 22, 23 include a first distance reference line 22 and a second distance reference line 23 displayed on a position separated from the vehicle from the first distance reference line 22.
