A patching board for selectively inter-connecting wires of two sets comprises a moulded plastics panel 11 having parallel grooves 15 in one face, perpendicular grooves 16 in its other face and bores 21 between the grooves for receiving conducting pegs 34 which contact pairs of gold-plated beryllium wires 14 in the grooves. The grooves are widened around each bore 21 at 22 to permit spreading of the wires by the pegs. Each pair of wires is preferably formed by a single wire looped at one end of its groove through bores 23 and having its ends passed through other bores 23 and twisted together at 26 for soldering to an input lead. Cover plates 12 and 13 have bores 32 in line with the bores 21.</p> |
