PURPOSE: A signal processing unit and a control method thereof are provided to protect connected instruments in case of erroneous connection due to the confusion of a user. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(12) processes video signal and/or an audio signal. A power supply unit(13) creates a power signal for electric power supply. A control circuit unit(15) outputs the video signal, the audio signal, and the power signal when an external connector is connected to a connection unit(14). The connection unit comprises a plurality of pins. The control circuit unit blocks so that the power signal is outputted to the external connector in case voltage level of the connection unit is not normal. The control circuit unit comprises a switching unit and a resistant unit. |
