<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of instantaneously detecting abnormalities of an input shaft side rotational angle sensor and an output shaft side rotational angle sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device includes a torque detection means 14 having an input shaft rotational angle sensor 15 and an output shaft rotational angle sensor 16 for individually detecting rotational angles of an input shaft 2a and an output shaft 2c connected to a vehicle steering system by a torsion bar 2b, an electric motor 12 controlled on the basis of a torque detection value detected by the torque detection means to generate a steering assist force for the steering system, a steering angle detection means 13 for detecting the rotational angle of the input shaft to detect the steering angle of the steering system, a resolver 17 for detecting the rotational angle of the electric motor, and a sensor abnormality detection means 20b for detecting the abnormalities of the input shaft rotational angle sensor and the output shaft rotational angle steering angle detection means on the basis of the steering angle detection value detected by the steering angle detection means and the motor rotational angle detection value detected by a resolver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
