<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically restrict rotation in a rotary joint for a robot having an allowable rotation rotating angle set in a wide range while reducing the complication/enlargement of a mechanism, interference with the circumference, and the deterioration of appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary joint for robot includes: a frame, a substantially-cylindrical rotating shaft which is disposed in the frame and rotated about a central axis; and a mechanical stopper which mechanically restricts the rotation of the rotary shaft. The mechanical stopper includes a hook having a hole and fixed to a position facing the side surface of the rotary shaft in the frame, and a wire both ends of which are fixed to the side surface of the rotary shaft, and which is wound along the side surface of the rotary shaft while passing through the hole of the hook once. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
