<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device achieving an increase in reading speed when reading data from multiple HDDs having the same data recorded therein. <P>SOLUTION: A recording device 2 comprises a RAID controller 3 including a control unit 31 and a storage unit 32 having a logical address map stored therein. The logical address map defines logical addresses in association with sector addresses in HDDs 4-1 and 4-2. The controller unit 31 reads out the logical address map from the storage unit 32, converts a logical address specified by a PC main body 1 into a sector address in the HDDs 4-1 and 4-2 based on the logical address map, and constantly reads out data in parallel from consecutive sectors indicated by the sector address in the HDDs 4-1 and 4-2, for each block constituted by the plurality of sectors, in a read-out unit of a predetermined number of blocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
