PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem caused by an optical sheet provided on the light incidence side of a polarizing plate.

SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel 15 includes a polarizing plate 40 including a polarizer 41 and a protective film 50 bonded to the polarizer 41 from the light incidence side, and a liquid crystal cell 11 stacked on the polarizing plate 40 from the light emission side and having pixel arrangement. The protective film 50 forms a surface on the light incidence side, and includes plural unit optical elements 60 arranged in a predetermined arrangement direction. When observation is made from a direction parallel to a normal direction to a plate surface of the polarizing plate 40, the arrangement direction of the plural unit optical elements 60 of the protective film 50 intersects with the pixel arrangement of the liquid crystal cell 11.
