The X-ray detector (1) has reflecting collimator walls (5) for optical disconnection of scintillator pixels, which is provided with a collimator arrangement (7) for focusing the X-ray radiation to scintillator material. The collimator arrangement is filled up with the scintillator composite (3). A photo-detector arrangement (9) is provided for transformation of light into appropriate electric signals for the creation of computer tomography image of the object. The scintillator material of scintillator composite provides luminous efficiencies larger 60,000 photons per MEV. An independent claim is included for manufacturing method of composite X-ray detector.
