PURPOSE: A Cr plating process of a tire vulcanizing mold is provided to maintain uniform thickness of a profile portion of a tire tread vulcanizing mold and prevent the delamination of a plated layer. CONSTITUTION: A Cr plating process of a tire vulcanizing mold is as follows. During insulation masking of a tread mold(1), a masking plate(5) is attached to the tread mold to surround a sector joint portion(3) and both side parting portions(4) and only a profile portion(2) of the masking plate is opened. Annular rods(6) are consecutively arranged in a waveform in the profile portion. The tread mold is plated with a plating solution. During re-cleaning and buffing processes, other masking plates are mounted on both ends of the tread mold and the profile portions are buffed by sand paper.
