<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycrystalline material in which grain growth is inhibited and that is dense and has excellent mechanical properties, and a method for easily and efficiently producing the polycrystalline material. <P>SOLUTION: Base material particles and a fibrous material obtained in a base material particle charge adjustment step S21 and a fibrous material charge adjustment step S22, respectively are mixed, bonded by electrostatic attraction, and thereby made composite. By regulating the blending amount of the fibrous material, composite particles can be formed in which the fibrous material is adhered to the base material particles in a state where the fibrous material encloses the surfaces of the base material particles while being thin and dense (network enclosure). A fibrous material not substantially causing a change at a firing temperature at which the base material particles sinter, is selected as the above fibrous material. Consequently, in the objective polycrystalline material obtained through a firing step S4, grain growth is inhibited and crystal grains are made fine, dense and homogenous. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
