PURPOSE: An SSR primer set for determining species of Prunus mume is provided to establish seed management system and to test distinctness, uniformity, and stability of the species. CONSTITUTION: A SSR(simple sequence repeat) primer set for determining the species of Prunus mume includes an oligonucleotide primer set of: sequence numbers 3 and 4; sequence numbers 7 and 8; sequence numbers 9 and 10; sequence numbers 19 and 20; sequence numbers 23 and 24; sequence numbers 27 and 28; or sequence numbers 31 and 32. A kit for determining the species contains the primer set and reagent for amplification.
