PURPOSE: An additive for steel making and a preparation method thereof are provided to secure safety in handling and the stability of material supply by using oxidized HBI(Hot Briquetted Iron) powder. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an additive for steel making comprises the steps of: collecting HBI powder produced during the manufacture of HBI, drying the HBI powder, mixing a binder into the dried HBI powder, forming the HBI and binder mixture into ingot, and drying the HBI ingot. |
