A solenoid valve for brake system is provided to selectively operate as normal open type or normal close type by changing the installation positions of the first and second magnet cores and return spring. A solenoid valve for brake system comprises a valve housing(31) in which a flow path(31a) is formed lengthwise and an inlet(31b) and an outlet(31c) are formed to deliver hydraulic pressure, a sleeve(32) fixed to one end of the valve housing, a solenoid coil(33) covering the exterior of the sleeve, a first magnet core(34) and a second magnet core(35) which located at an interval inside the sleeve, an armature(36) moving back and forth inside the first and second magnet cores, a plunger(37) which opens and closes the flow path between the inlet and the outlet while moving along with the armature, a valve seat(38) in which an orifice(38a) opened and closed with the leading end of the plunger is formed, and a return spring(39) which returns the armature and plunger moved by magnetic field to the original position.
