<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of accurately discriminating the photographic scene of an input image. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: imaging means which picks up a subject image and outputs image data; discrimination means which performs discrimination processing of discriminating the photographic scene of image data to be output from the imaging means on the basis of the image data; acquisition means which acquires photographic information on the photographing condition of the image data including positional information of the imaging device; and communication means which transmits the photographic information to an external device and receives support information for supporting discrimination of the photographic scene of the image data corresponding to the photographic information from the external device.
