<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform loss compensation of a pre-distribution content to be distributed to users. <P>SOLUTION: A multicast pre-distribution device 10 performs multicast distribution of the pre-distribution content to a plurality of user-side devices without controlling loss compensation for a defective data. When reproducing the pre-distribution content which is preserved after received from the multicast pre-distribution device 10, each user-side device 20 inspects the existence or non-existence of a loss in the pre-distribution content, and according to loss detection, informs the multicast pre-distribution device 10 of a retransmission request specifying the defective data. In response to the retransmission request, the multicast pre-distribution device 10 acquires the defective data from the specified pre-distribution content, and distributes the acquired data to the user-side device 20 of the request source in unicast.
