PURPOSE: A composition containing Actinidia polygama peel extract for preventing and treating inflammation or allergy is provided to effectively remove the strong taste and flavor of Actinidia polygama. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing Actinidia polygama peel extract comprises: a step of extracting Actinidia polygama using a supercritical fluid extractor; a step of collecting remaining Actinidia polygama peel; a step of extracting Actinidia polygama peel with distilled water, ethanol, or mixture thereof; and a step of collecting the Actinidia polygama peel extract. The supercritical extraction is performed at 35-55°C and 1~3mL/min of CO_2 flow rate for 1-2 hours. A pharmaceutical composition or functional food for treating inflammation or allergy contains Actinidia polygama peel extract.
