<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst which is excellent in sterilization speed because of improved antimicrobial activity especially under visible light irradiation and further is excellent in harmful gas decomposition speed. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalyst comprises a first catalyst component and a second catalyst component. The first catalyst component carries 2.8 to 15 parts mass of antimicrobial activity metal species expressed in terms of metal atom with respect to a first titanium oxide compound, wherein content of titanium atoms constituting the first titanium oxide compound is 100 parts mass. The second catalyst component carries 0 to 1.5 parts mass of the antimicrobial activity metal species expressed in terms of metal atom with respect to a second titanium oxide compound, wherein content of titanium atoms constituting the second titanium oxide compound is 100 parts mass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
