<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing apparatus having a half-cut mechanism that eliminates wastes of tape and facilitates stripping a release paper. <P>SOLUTION: The half-cut mechanism 63 allows a cutting blade 141 to cut into a blade receiving member 142 to half-cut a tape-like member T in a shearing manner.
