[Also in Division B8] Apparatus for proportioning a dry washing agent into a dishwashing machine comprises a rotor 7 having a bore therethrough defining an apportioning chamber 11, the apportioning chamber 11, on rotation of the rotor 7, being arranged firstly to co-operate with an opening (3) (Fig. 2, not shown) connected to a washing agent supply 13 whereby the chamber 11 is filled with washing agent and secondly to cooperate simultaneously with a flushing channel 4 and a discharge outlet 12 whereby the washing agent in the chamber 11 can be discharged through the outlet 12 into the dishwashing machine by flushing water through the channel 4. The feed opening (3) and the flushing channel 4 are formed in a disc-shaped cover plate 1 which is attached by screws to a discshaped base plate 2 having the outlet 12 therein. The rotor 7 which is local coaxially betwen the plates 1 and 2 is connected to a motor driven drive shaft and is constructed of or provided with water repellent material, such as polytetrafluoroethylene, forming a lining for the apportioning chamber 11. The plates 1, 2 which are provided with the opening (3), channel 4 and discharge outlet 12 all at the same distance r as the chamber 11 from the axis of the rotor 7 are provided with holes 5 and 14 providing venting and draining ducts for water trapped in the chamber 11 after discharge of the washing agent therein. In further arrangements more than one supply 13 and more than one apportioning chamber 11 may be provided, the supplies and the co-operating chambers being at the same distance r or at different distances from the axis of the rotor 7.</p> |
