PURPOSE: A float trap is provided to prevent water hammering by easily discharging air in the initial operation, thereby protecting pipes. CONSTITUTION: A float trap(1) comprises a partition(15), an orifice(20), strainers(30a,30b), a float(40), and a lid(50). Gas and liquid collide against the partition. The orifice has two nozzle through holes(22a,22b) of small and large inner diameters and is installed on the bottom of the partition. The strainers are installed in the nozzle through holes of the orifice and remove foreign materials. The float is embedded in the strainer coupled with the large-diameter strainer. The lid is connected to the top of the strainers and the top of the partition to close the top of the center of the trap.
