PURPOSE: A method for preparing synthetic zeolite based on waste containing silica and alumina is provided to cost effectively replace pure zeolite by including a heavy metal absorbing property, a metal catalyst carrying property, an ion exchanging property, and a desulfurizing property. CONSTITUTION: Waste containing silica and alumina and an alkaline material are mixed and thermally processed at temperature between 500 and 850 degrees Celsius to fuse the waste with the alkaline material. The weight ratio of the waste and the alkaline material is between 1:1 and 1:5. The waste is mixed with water, a material containing aluminum, and zeolite seed to obtain a mixture. The mixture is aged and crystallized.
