The purpose of the present invention is to provide a copolycarbonate which has a low photoelastic constant, has few air bubbles formed therein, and is particularly suitable for optical use applications. The present invention is a copolycarbonate which comprises 10-90 mol% of a unit (A) derived from spiroglycol and 90-10 mol% of a unit (B) derived from an aromatic phenol, and has terminals that fulfill the requirements represented by the following formulae (i) and (ii): (i) 0.0001 < (a)/(d) < 0.1: and (ii) 0.02 < (b)/(d) < 0.8 [wherein (a) represents the amount of terminal radicals derived from spiroglycol; (b) represents the amount of terminal radicals derived from the aromatic phenol; and (d) represents the total amount of all of the terminal radicals].
