The present invention relates to a semiconductor chip and to a semiconductor system comprising same. The semiconductor system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) host; a plurality of SATA devices which receive data from the SATA host and stores the received data, or transmit the stored data to the SATA host; and a semiconductor chip which controls a data-transceiving operation between the SATA host and the SATA devices. Here, the semiconductor chip comprises: a SATA host interface which is connected to a channel of the SATA host via at least one connector to serve as an interface for the transceiving of data operation to/from the SATA host; a plurality of device interfaces which serve as interfaces for the transceiving of data to/from the plurality of SATA devices; and a SATA port multiplier which controls the allocation of channels of the SATA host to the plurality of SATA devices connected to the device interfaces, in the event the number of the plurality of SATA devices connected to the device interfaces is greater than the number of the channels of the SATA host.
