METHOD ASSISTING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES VIA FORWARD MOTION ONLY - CONDUCTION OF THE REAR PART OF THE VEHICLE IN THE FINAL PARKING POSITION VIA AN AUXILIARY MECHANISM

Problem to be solved: to park a vehicle in a lengthwise parking disposition where the front part of the vehicle will be placed in proximity to the front parked car and near the edge of the pavement and that solely by the forward motion of the vehicle. Parking mode: the placement of the rear part of the vehicle in the final parking position (immobilisation of the vehicle) is assisted by an auxiliary mechanism which is placed underside of the rear part of the vehicle; said auxiliary mechanism is constituted of one or several wheels which are of relatively small diameter and vertically placed as to their movement on the steady wheels of the vehicle, and of a hoisting mechanism capable of lifting the rear part of the vehicle and facilitating, thus, upon command, the sidewise displacement of this last. The wheels of said auxiliary mechanism are connected to the chassis of the vehicle through a descent and inclination mechanism and are apt to sufficiently hoist the vehicle so that the sidewise displacement can be permitted upon command (fig.2). Hoisting mechanism and wheels are placed in operational position solely by commanded descent and inclination movement so as not to be exposed when in inoperative condition.
