<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless local area network (LAN) device having a scheme (full stealth mode) for substantially completely preventing ESSID from being known to a third party, and a connection method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless LAN device receives a frame including hash information generated from an ESSID and a time stamp of a counterpart wireless LAN device, extracts the hash information and the time stamp, creates hash information from the extracted time stamp and ESSID in the own device, and checks the ESSID of the counterpart wireless LAN device by comparing the created hash information and the extracted hash information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
