<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver which can secure electromagnetic shielding effect by securing adhesion of a gasket. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transceiver includes electro-optical components 11, a conductive case 10 for storing the electro-optical components 11, a conductive cover 16 mounted on the case 10, and the conductive gasket 34 interposed between the case 10 and the cover 16. The gasket 34 has an endless shape extended along a closed curved line, and has elasticity, and adheres to the case 10 and the cover 16 by means of elastic force generated by being compressed by being sandwiched between the case 10 and the cover 16. The case 10 has a groove 42 for storing the gasket 34, and the groove 42 has a first groove part 43 with a width larger than the thickness of the gasket 34 before the gasket 34 is compressed, and a second groove part 45 with a width smaller than the thickness of the gasket 34 before the gasket 34 is compressed.
