<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice jack having an ESD protection. <P>SOLUTION: In this electronic device, a plug contact includes a voice jack 2 separated from the other plug contact by one or more insulation rings and providing voice signals 16 by one of the plug contact; a voice sub-system for processing signals including a high gain circuit 40 for amplifying the voice signals 16; and an electrostatic discharge circuit 34. The voice jack 2 includes a housing part 3 having an opening 4 on one end and defining a cavity 5; a first jack contact 20 positioned in the cavity 5, positioned near the opening 4 and connected to the electrostatic discharge circuit 34; a second jack contact 22 in the cavity 5 arranged further away from the opening 4 than the first jack contact 20 into contact with the plug contact providing the voice signals 16 when the voice plug 2 is completely plugged in; and a mechanical switch 104 having an opening position and a closed position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
