PURPOSE: A soaking apparatus for washing rice with improved space utilization is provided to prevent the contamination around the apparatus when washing the rice. CONSTITUTION: A soaking apparatus for washing rice comprises the following: a pneumatic cylinder(14a) vertically fixed to the center of a fixed frame(14d) crossing the upper side of a soaking tank(11); a piston rod(14b) ascended by the pneumatic cylinder inside the soaking tank; an opening and closing device(14c) attached to the bottom of the piston rod for opening and closing an outlet(12); and a water leakage prevention packing(14c`) installed on the lower inclined surface of the opening and closing device. |
