PURPOSE: A vegetation method for a vertical wall and a slope and a shelf assembly used for the same are provided to vegetate approximately entire area of a slope or vertical wall by allowing plant to grow toward the front of the slope or vertical wall. CONSTITUTION: A shelf assembly used for a vegetation method for a vertical wall and a slope comprises a support plate(20) and a holding fixture(12). The support plate comprises a flat supporting part and a hollow joint part with an insertion hole on a side, wherein the supporting part supports a reinforced earth layer(3) and vegetation earth(40). The holding fixture comprises a fixing rack fixed to the reinforced earth layer, a first coupling bar which is perpendicularly extended on the leading end of the fixing rack and coupled with the joint part so that the joint part supports the reinforced earth layer, and a second coupling bar which is extended at an angle on the leading end of the fixing rack and coupled with the joint part so that the joint part supports the vegetation earth.
