<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for illumination using an LED and a light guide body which is easy to fabricate, and is excellent in efficiency and uniformity of emission light. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 10 is equipped with a light source for illumination 11. The light source for illumination 11 is provided with one LED module 20 having at least one LED mounted on a substrate at each of both ends in longitudinal direction. Further, the light source for illumination 11 is provided with a light guide body 30 of long shape which is formed in plate shape and curved in longitudinal direction. The light guide body 30 has a first incident face located at one end in longitudinal direction, a second incident face located at the other end in longitudinal direction, and an emitting face extended in longitudinal direction. A treatment for diffusing light is applied nearly uniformly in longitudinal direction inside the light guide body 30. In the light guide body 30, light emitted from the LED on one end side in longitudinal direction is made to enter from the first incident face and light emitted from the LED on the other end side in longitudinal direction is made to enter from the second incident face. Then, the light guide body 30 diffuses inside the light having entered respectively from the first incident face and the second incident face and emits it from the emitting face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
