Provided is an OFDM receiver (A) comprising: a first orthogonal converter (A1) for orthogonally converting a signal in an effective symbol interval and outputting the orthogonal conversion result; a second orthogonal converter (A2) for orthogonally converting a signal in a guard interval and outputting the orthogonal conversion result; a detector (A3) for detecting the wideband carrier frequency error quantity of an OFDM symbol based on the signal output by the first orthogonal converter (A1) and the signal output by the second orthogonal converter (A2); and a compensator for correcting offset in the wideband carrier frequency of the OFDM symbol based on the wideband carrier frequency error quantity detected by the detector (A3).
