A slide type portable terminal having a dual LCD is provided to enable a slide type rotating body to comprise sub and main LCDs, thereby protecting the main LCD from impact and reducing power consumption according as the sub LCD is mainly used during carrying the terminal. In a slide type portable terminal comprises a main body(22) and a slide type cover(30), the slide type cover(30) comprises the followings: a slide type moving body(24) which is assembled to be opened/closed by being slid on an upper side of the main body(22); and a slide type rotating body(28) which comprises a swivel hinge in order to be rotated on the slide type moving body(24). The slide type rotating body(28) comprises a sub LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)(42) installed in one side and a main LCD installed in the other side.
