<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a heavy oil combustion boiler control the density of smoke dust thereof to suppress the deterioration of the combustion efficiency of the boiler. <P>SOLUTION: The heavy oil combustion boiler is configured to burn heavy oil used as fuel oil by a burner 16. The heavy oil combustion boiler includes: a viscosity modifier oil feeding pipe 22 and a flow control valve 23 for supplying a viscosity modifier to the fuel oil; a burner vapor feeding pipe 24 and a flow control valve 25 for supplying heating vapor to the burner 16; and a control device 28 for setting feed rates of the viscosity modifier and the vapor based on the density of smoke dust that is set according to the viscosity of the fuel oil to control a degree of the opening of each of flow control valves 23, 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
