<p>The present invention provides a current sensor with high measurement accuracy that can decrease hysteresis and parasitic resistance of a magnetoresistive effect element. This current sensor (1) includes a magnetoresistive effect element (122a) with stripe geometry having a sensitivity axis in a particular direction, and is characterized in that the magnetoresistive effect element (122a) contains a plurality of element parts (33a) provided apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the stripe geometry and a plurality of permanent magnets (32a, 34a) respectively provided between each of the element parts (33a), the element parts (33a) have a laminated structure of a free magnetic layer (47a) having magnetization fluctuations with respect to an external magnetic field, a nonmagnetic intermediate layer (46a) and a ferromagnetic fixed layer (60) with a fixed magnetization, and the permanent magnets (32a, 34a) have a hard bias layer (50a) and an electrode layer (52a) provided to cover the hard bias layer (50a).</p> |
