PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type display device capable of improving quality of display and dynamic image display performance. SOLUTION: This reflection type display device 10 includes a white-colored substrate 20 having a white surface 20a side, a transparent substrate 30 arranged on the surface side of the white-colored substrate, a cavity 40 for display formed between the white-colored substrate and the transparent substrate, a cavity 60 for ink for holding ink 50, a liquid passage 21 for communicating the cavity for display with the cavity for ink, and a pump part 70 for letting the ink in the cavity for ink flow in/out of the cavity for display through the liquid passage. The cavity for ink is formed on a rear surface 20b side of the white-colored substrate.
