One or more strips of zig-zag folded paper are deposited in piles by a device comprising a stop 9, in the form of one or more fingers or a plate, which is positioned above the pile so that thin sheets do not buckle as shown dotted in Fig. 1. The wall 3 of the pile support is preferably formed with the platform 5 at right-angles thereto and the stop 9 is adjustable as the height of the pile increases. The support is also adjustable horizontally. |
